Check your progress on building back links is not important from SEO perspective but it is good to know the number of your back links. Find out the number of your back links (or the back links or your rivals) using the following free online SEO tools and services:

1. Smart Page Rank Backlinks Pagerank Checker

This tool can check the Page Rank of your back links, the anchor text and if it's DO- or No- follow.

2. SEO PRO Link Checker

This tool is all most the same as the above one but this will check the Page Rank of the Homepage of your back links and the number of pages where your back links are linking (Out bounding Links)

3. Google Webmaster tools

Sign in to your Webmaster account and find the Links to your site page where is a list of your pages. After every page is the number of back links it has, click on a number to see the back links of that page.
